Beth regularly teaches and directs at LAMDA and the London College of Music, She has previously taught at Birmingham School of Acting, LIPA, Manchester Met, Rose Bruford,  The Roundhouse, Soho Theatre, The Centre, The Urdang and Italia Conti.

Alongside her teaching, she has created her own comedy course Finding the Funny at Camden Comedy Club, which she has successfully run for the last three years. This is a real passion project for her, which came about following her mentoring work on Soho Theatre’s Comedy Lab Course.

Utilising her five years experience in creating and producing her own acclaimed Edinburgh shows, this course teaches people about the industry, Edinburgh Festival, and an approach/process to give their work in order to Find the Funny in each of them.

On the course, she has used her industry contacts to recruit some wonderful, award-winning performers at the top of the comic world – Richard Gadd and John Kearns –  to teach alongside her. She is also extremely proud to say that two of her past students have been nominated for The Edinburgh Festival Award – Best Newcomer.

“Beth’s course was great place to experiment with comedy and really helped me stand out from the crowd and be memorable. Comedy is often a lonely industry and the emphasis to discuss, share and perform new ideas in front of people of my level and seasoned and successful comedians alike is something really special. Beth’s intimate course was the best comedy experience I’ve ever been on.”

Hugh Davis – Comedian and Edinburgh Festival Newcomer Award Nominee 2019

“Not only did Beth create a safe and collaborative environment, she invited extremely impressive and helpful guests (whom I didn’t even dream of meeting before) and fostered a community among the people in the class. Never have I felt so close with other comedians and so vulnerable creatively than I did in this class. Whoever takes this course will definitely create pieces they didn’t think they were capable of at the start.”
